To celebrate the end of this amazing year, with all these amazing children we all went on a trip to Shepreth Wildlife Park.
The children were all ready and raring to go when we met at Hitchin Train station and with the help of Abbie, our escort, we all boarded the train and safely crossed the level crossing when we arrived at Shepreth Station.
We started our visit with a introduction to some of the animals – Who lives in a log pile? The children were able to meet ‘Sticky – the giant stick insect as well as a giant snail and a very friendly rat. For the braver ones, they got to hold them.
The weather was kind and we were able to wander around the park looking at all the different animals, working out where they might live, what they might eat and how many there were.
With a quick stop for lunch, we then investigated the park more returning home on the train to Hitchin.
Fantastic time had by all!
