The Caterpillar Room
The Caterpillar Room – A great way to start their journey into the world of learning with fun group and individual teaching and key to this room, developing those sharing and cooperation skills. The room boasts a wide range of set out activities for learning opportunities.
This is where our younger children, aged 2 1/2 – 3 begin their Tilehouse Street journey (ages dependent on need year to year) . With a maximum of 13 children in the room at any one time, we really focus on getting to know each child and meeting their individual needs, as well as helping them to develop and explore their interests.
Children engage in self-directed learning through play, indoors or outdoors as they choose, securing their prime areas of development as they grow in confidence and competence.
Each session incorporates clear routines which help the children feel secure, develop independence and recognise letters, shapes, names and numbers.
